Exercises for Reducing Lower back Pain 


Many back pain patients know the feeling of tension in the back, especially first thing in the morning. Lower back pain could be caused by several things. These include disorders of the disc, verterbral bones, facet joints, weak muscles etc.  

It is important to keep fit since this will strengthen your back muscles and reduce pain. It maybe initially difficult to exercise but it gets better with time. Discuss with your Orthopaedic surgeon, Pain specialist or Physiotherapist before you begin any form of exercise.The stretching back exercises can help bring back some suppleness and increase mobility, decreasing back pain and discomfort.


Knee to Chest Stretch

While lying on the back with the knees bent and both heels on the floor, place both hands behind one knee and bring it to the chest.
